The objectives of this exercise were to test communications between REMPEC and the responsible national authorities for pollution control, to test communications between REMPEC and AMCs (MPRESS), to put into practice the use of POLREP, to define the type of information that can be obtained by CSAs, and to obtain (if possible) computerized model forecasts of the drift and evolution of the "spilled oil".
