Teams from Spain, France, Belgium, Germany and Croatia participated in this exercise, mobilizing a total of more than 3000 participants, foreigners and Portuguese. CASCADE'19 aimed to test and train the response to multiple emergency situations that may occur in cascade (earthquakes, floods, chemical accident, dam rupture and maritime pollution) in national territory, in the case of a LIVEX (Live Exercise) with more than 60 different scenarios, in the districts of Lisbon, Aveiro, Évora and Setúbal.
