The objectives of the exercise were: to strengthen the integration at the operational level of EMSA contracted vessels with the Belgian and Dutch marine pollution response mechanisms, and to exercise an operational formation of the oil pollution response vessels at sea (five oil spill response vessels in a column formation following the oil boom in open ”U” formation towed by the Belgian tugs).
