Watch the full replay of Monaco Info's coverage of Exercise RAMOGEPOL 2024, which took place in Viareggio from May 28th to 30th. Italian, French, and Monegasque resources were deployed to combat a simulated double pollution incident at sea, detected by satellites. RAMOGEPOL exercises strengthen international coordination in the event of marine pollution. Pollution control efforts can now also rely on new technologies, such as drones, to locate oil slicks, monitor their spread, and collect samples of potentially hazardous substances. A big thank you to all the participants in this exercise, to all the observers present, and to the film crew for producing this report. This year, the exercise was successfully organized by the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, in collaboration with the Coast Guard, and we look forward to seeing you next year for the next RAMOGEPOL exercise, which will be organized by the French delegation.
