As every year, the RAMOGEPOL plan allows France, Italy, and the Principality of Monaco to test their knowledge of marine pollution control management. Significant resources are deployed for the operation. This exercise took place off the coast of Toulon. Vanessa Dessi was there and tells us more.

Exercise RAMOGEPOL: France, Italy and Monaco collaborate in the fight against marine pollution
For two days, the Maritime Prefecture of the Mediterranean, in interface with the Prefecture of the Southern Defense and Security Zone and in collaboration with the Monegasque and Italian authorities and services, organized the exercise “RAMOGEPOL 2023” in the roadstead of Hyères, in the Var.

During the event, the partners had the chance to see how the joint cooperation between forces from France, Italy and Monaco works in practice in case of accidental spill-over at sea; such structured cooperation represents a model for the NAMIRS project and the North Adriatic basin.
