The primary purpose of the exercise was to test response procedures and management (as set out in the relevant Oil-HNS spill contingency plan) in the event of an incident occurring such as that proposed in the scenario, provide training in marine-sourced oil-pollution response, both on-site and at Shoreline-Response Centre level, to key staff and members of SEAPT.
